Ao Oni MV

Ao Oni, created and released by noprops, falls within the tradition of Japanese horror RPGs with a heavy emphasis on puzzle-solving and jump scares. "Ao Oni: MV" is a modern remake of the classic Japanese survival horror game "Ao Oni." Reimagined using RPG Maker MV, this version retains the spine-chilling essence of the original while introducing enhanced gameplay, updated graphics, and a deeper narrative. Players join a group of high school friends as they explore a haunted mansion rumored to have a monster, and face the terrifying Ao Oni.

The Mansion

Players will explore the mansion's sprawling property, uncovering its dark history while trying to escape with or without their friends. The mansion itself is a character in the game, filled with eerie rooms, hidden secrets, and a haunting past that unfolds as you progress.

Hi, I'm Hoodie. I originally worked on the Ao Oni ver.7 project 10 years ago (Ao Oni+), and decided to work on Ao Oni MV independently around 8 years ago. Through numerous rewrites, production resets, startovers, and hiccups along the way, I am proud to present the first playable build of Ao Oni MV. A lot is subject to change, but our commitment to capturing the essence of the original while enhancing it for a modern audience remains steadfast.
